About
The Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure has been the gold standard treatment for mid to high-risk patients with aortic valve stenosis and vascular disease by deploying a heart valve using a catheter that is inserted through the femoral artery [1]. However, patients with tortuous arteries that undergo this procedure have a predisposed risk of internal bleeding [1].
Unmet Need
There is currently no feasible system to quantitatively and qualitatively track forces and vessel displacements caused by catheter insertion.
